Description (Bugbane, Cohosh) Family Ranunculaceae Originating from Russia and China Excellent for a moist woodland border. A vigorous new form, this outstanding hardy perennial has extremely dark purple/black, deeply cut, lace-like foliage on black stems. Fluffy, white/pink tinged, pipe cleaner-shaped flowers appear on long stems above the foliage in late summer and produce the most glorious scent. Grow in humus rich, fertile, moist but well-drained soil in part shade. Height and spread after 1 – 2 years 1.5m x 60cm
