Description Family Sapindaceae Garden Origin The large and roughly dissected leaves of this variety are outstanding among Acers, and if grown in a relatively sunny position the full glory of its red/orange colours can be realised, with the true red tones shining through more distinctly than other Acers that have more purple hues. The colour also holds well into the autumn before turning bright scarlet. Developing a wide spreading, cascading habit, making an excellent specimen plant in the ground or in pots. If planted in shade the colours will be muted, with a green hue. Height and spread after 15 – 20 years if not pruned 4m x 3m
