Fior di Latte finds its roots on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. The cheese’s name translates to “flower of milk” which refers to its delicate qualities. Fior di Latte is a more recent variation of Mozzarella that was developed in response to the demand for a milder and creamier cheese. it is an excellent topping for pizzas and is also delicious when served fresh in a Caprese salad.
